Fez-Tangier-Tarifa-Sand dunes

2/3 up at 6 - Kel cries - WAY too early! Cab to Gare, onto train to Tangier 5 hrs first class. Blessed to sit with Solaiman & his wife, couple with 3 young kids on holidays from Libya (and their kids). Learnt of the years of crazy domination and decay of the country at the hands of Gaddafi, how can a country with < 6 million people and so much oil have so much poverty and illiteracy??  Sounds like an interesting next travel destination - what a privilege! Back to our beloved Eddie, gorgeous Tarifa, LONG SHOWER, washing, whiskey, massive plate seafood, bed.... everyone in high spirits.

Jen’s Impressions of Morocco - fascinating, not silent, unmissable, critical, essential social education; not compelled to return; Arabic language really hard; Islam fanatical; too much confronting edgy poverty & hustle; the people dominate, pollute and seem on top of,vnot with the land; ....and the women, enslaved, mute, beautiful.....
3/3
wake up to quiet, clean ocean, run whilst family reads in bed.
Fibre for breakfast!
School, skating, spy games.

Shopping - fish, fruit & vegies!!

Up the road only 20km to massive sand dune. Gorgeous easy play, sommersaults, walks over the dune and down to the beach admiring the surfers (the ones who stand and paddle with the oar).
Skaters heaven - straight smooth road down hill with sand either side for speedy runoffs, kids up and down having a great time.
Met Rupert, photographer from UK - Wil & Jeff eyeing off his cameras, 2 big Nikons in holsters by his side.
Beautiful sunset panorama from the top of the dune swinging vista from the windfarm across the bay to Tarifa and across to Africa, massive cargo ships plying their way silently out of the Med to the world and the sun.
Dinner of massive Spanish salad (lettuce, grated carrot, beans, corn, grated cheese, tuna, slivered almonds & hard boiled egg with piquant sauce) ;episode of Blackadder & bed . Free camped alone by sand dune.
